Just wondering, as im new around here.. what program do you guys use for 3D modeling because i would like to switch from 2D to 3D graphics. (Preferably a free program that isn't too complex)

Once you get better you might wanna try 3dsmax, it's quite expensive and it is very complex, but in my opinion, it's the best Smile .

I have both as well, I guess it's just what you're used to.
And Max has to be better else it wouldn't cost like $ 3000, it's got a lot more features, most of them are useless for the beginner though.

Stick with anim8or for now

3dsmax is more for professional projects that have huge scenes and such. Projects that are going to make a ton of money (i.e. Finding Nemo?)

Most movie stuff was made with Maya I believe. 3D Max is way way WAY overpriced for what you get

You can try gmax, it is down version of 3ds max it is useful for modeling models for games( main purpose of gmax)
I have both and use gmax, it is without useless features and very good http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax
