Well, I thought I would share my first attempt at extracting an object from it's background. Though it is not perfect, I think it came out rather well.
This is the extracted flower.
And the before picture:
By the way, never knew how much actual work went into this until I actually attempted it. Wow!

I VERY rarely use brushes.
I think the only time I use them is if I am stroking along a path, and that's it. |
