Could you do me a very simple (textured) model please?
I cant really describe how i want it to look, cause im not sure my self (lolz)
_BUT_ (yeah, a big but lol)
Its for my map biotech
The model will be an objective, so it has to be a carryable size
The objective will be a canister? or something like that, containing a disease
Has to look like it wont break if you drop it (Make it look strong)
But has to look 'clean' (Make it white?)
Know what i mean?
More info:
The format should be .MD3
Some warning signs would look awesome on it (thanks to kamikazee for that idea)

ok, I will try knock something up for you, though I would need someone to apply the textures for it (I will provide the textures but can't apply them in .md3) |

Update:
Reduced polies by reducing number of test tubes (they use quite a few up because of how you need to create the glass y'see)
Crits/feedback welcome

Yeah, I couldn't think of anything else as he did specify it needed to be carryable...
Open to suggestions though... |

Before I get too involved I would like to hear from the requestor as to which direction to go in |

Well beef, your bang on the dot!
Thats pretty much exactly what i wanted!
BUT
What you have got atm looks so nice!
That has more of a objective feel also,
but,
could i have it so
The obejctive on the table is the open case
AND
The objective people drop is a closed case
Or isnt this possible?
Because having people drop a open case is a bit wierd
NOTE:
On the map it was meant to be a gas,
but i havnt got far with it so i could change it to a liquid (poisonous maybe? get it into the water supply? )
idk...
Looks great though!
if i can do that 2 model thing i will use what youve got atm!!
if i cant, i might have to change it (Sorry, that looks so nice atm) |

Getting a model of the closed case is easier than you think lol, as that is how I modelled it, so just a rotate of the top object by 90 degrees on the Z axis would close it quite nicely... |

Yeah, i know, but i dont know if i could do it IN ET
And if you did just rotate the lid... might be helpful to get rid of the stuff inside (Vert reduce..) |

Either way is fine...
I could supply you with two models...or one that you close via a script.
I will convert the model to .md3 and post up the materials so weebull can also texture it (if he has time) for you...
I will do that a little later on this evening mate |

Would you mind uploading the models in .obj or .3ds, better do .obj, remember last time we used .3ds...mission failed! I can't import .md3 in Max
You can also just send them over on msn. |

Guess I'm a little late seeing this. But my suggestion would be to make the case a larger metal box, about the size of a large tacklebox or toolbox.
Use a charcoalgrey foam insert instead of the one you have, and just use one large chemical container inside it so that it is a lot clearer to see in the game.
