still not finished whit the main map, still got allot of detail work to do, the original map went straight down, so i had to start all over again.... Sad

Looks nice snoox....is that gonna be where the tank is located in the final map?

Those trees would be a real fps killer when coupled with the tank I think, remember the tank will be around the 4,000 poly mark once triangulated...

the map will have more of your beautifull tank, its even an objective: blocking hte entrance to the E-boat base

i have tryed to get that textured version working, but unfortanly the 30day stuff on milkshape went out just when i understod the main thinks, so now i cant make the control file needed....

Can one of you mappers put this tank in a foresty type render, like the one above?

Only if it uses prefab models and that, I dont want anyone to go too far out of their way for it...just looking forward to seeing it and some peeps on a 3d modelling forum I go on want to see it too y'see

Edit - I don't get this, the texture doesn't show up in radiant nor in game. Did you export it with it, or do I still have to do that. If that's the case...I don't know how and my ms3d has expired.
I might be able to do it in Max, but then I need a .obj or .3ds.

I downloaded both and put the in the same folder but that didn't work. So...

No, it doesn't come through ok.

According to zenith ply on splashdamage it came through fine.

Use max or milkshape and just apply the texture, it will wrap around it Wink

I can't import .md3 in max and I don't know how milkshape works...and it has expired.

But it's weird, if you added the texture, made a qc file and exported it, it should work, right?

dunno about radiant, that program is so confusing.

See if you can do anything with the .obj

This is uvmapped and the texture should just wrap around it.

Alright, I got it working with that obj and now I'm trying to make a nice scenery around the tank with some fog, but for some reason the fog doesn't wanna work with me. Probably just a little typo somewhere but I can't find it now, I'll try it again later. I always see the mistakes right after I took a brake.

It needs a little work still.

What I didnt realise when texturing in this fashion, you have to make the texture slightly larger, to avoid the white lines.

Still, I know for the next one Smile

That is what needs fixing up, also, one of the rear textures is buggered from the weird way the uvmapper unwrapped it...still havent figured that out despite another 5 attempts at mapping it Crying or Very sad

woh, don't look at me. It's Bravo's model and his texture is pretty messed up, I don't really understand what is what, so ask Bravo nicely. I'm sure he will do it when he has some time.
