Newlove killers jailed for life

Link to story (BBC)

For those of you that don't live in the UK, this is about a man who saw three youths kicking his wifes car for no reason other than being 'bored'.  He went out to challenge them.  They kicked him to death.

Quote:
Adam Swellings, 19, Stephen Sorton, 17, and Jordan Cunliffe, 16, were convicted at Chester Crown Court last month.

Swellings, of Meredith Street, Crewe, was sentenced by the court to serve a minimum 17 years in jail.

Personally, I hope they rot.

I agree, Bravo.

What I just noticed, is that the BBC, a very bastion of Britishness, has incorrectly spelled a very British word...

The BBC wrote:

They should have said:

The BBC should have wrote:

17 years is not enough imo.

We've had incidents like that over here too, but people get way shorter sentences. The justice system really sucks hairy arse over here.

[edit] I hope they get to pick up soap every day for the next 17 years Very Happy
Bravo

People here too, have been getting very lenient sentences...they try to get the prisoner fit for society via schemes etc...it just makes a joke of the justice system.  I know one thing, not many people are raped, mugged, robbed, assaulted while their attacker is in gaol.
