Thx Yvo. How's your son doing?
Animal Crossing Man, I used 3D Studio Max 9 to make that.

Ah the famous Joan tutorial, widely claimed to be the best organic tutorial on the net.
Looking great weebull

My son is doing awesome mate. Growing nicely and getting too heavy to lift.
Starting to get a real mind of his own and thus getting a bit harder to control. A really smart little fella
Thnx for asking mate.

This looks like a great tutorial, I'm going to play later, after I have sat outside in the garden for a few hours and chucked stones for my dog (really must buy her a ball instead).

I'm having difficulty downloading the template, It says the file is missing or damaged. Has anyone got the images so I can get them

There are more options available, though it very much depends on what application you are using

Thanks
Made her hair today. I'm actually pretty pleased with the result.

Made her gloves, I just need to know what you guys think of the size; the size of the hand relative to the body and the size of the fingers relative to the hand. I'm not sure if it's right.

The hands and fingers look pretty good to me m8, but if I was any good at making 3d images (which I'm not) I would probably make the breasts a bit bigger
but seriously, its looking grat so far, you're really good at this, im gonna have to try again to learn to use one of these 3d programs (i never had much success with anim8or).

Finally felt like working on this again and I'm done with the modelling, now on to uvw mapping and texturing shite. I hate that, it can be a real pain, I hope the tutorial explains it well so I finally know exactly how to do it .

The UVMapping can be a real pain in the butt, though if you stick with it, it all starts to make some sense

Thanks mate
I'm kinda stuck now, I don't get what the tut wants me to do, but I'll figure out some day.

Which bit of the tut? It might be something lost in the translation, maybe I can help

This page, where it says: We can make a mirror Copy the arm, knees and ankle and to attach it to the whole of of the object to gather all the clothing.
wtf...
So I think I have to copy and mirror the arm, knees and ankle UV's, but I don't think that's possible with UVMapping. I just don't get it...
I've looked at the original French site as well, but that doesn't really help me either (and I do know some French ).
|
Bravo
|
Do they mean to mirror the leg? So each leg is an inverse of the other?
It would work, but it's better to have slightly different textures
|
WeeBull
|
Ye that's basically what I've been doing the whole time, make one half of the body, copy and mirror it and attach it to the other half. But I don't get what they want me to do now because I have already mirrored everything in an earlier stage and I can't copy and mirror the UV's themselves.
I think I'm just gonna UVMap the other half the same way I did with the first half, takes a bit more time, but I don't now how I should do it otherwise.
Thanks anyway.
