How's things? I just received a nice new signature banner from Bravo and thought I would sport it around a bit. 
My name is Kat and I live in the US. I found you guys through the support forum. I have put your link on my site, as I am a huge fan now. Not sure how much that is going to help since my forum is still small, but hopefully it won't always be like that.

This is also a small forum, I don't really pay it the attention I should do in terms of building it. But I and a few others do enjoy making artwork for folk.

Once upon a blue moon there were a couple female artists here.. I know not what became of them. Perhaps Bravo has more insight?

Yes, there used to be a few.
What happened was, when my mother died a few years ago I pretty much stopped posting on here for quite some time, we were having around 100 posts a day, then went down to about 10 posts a week. Amazing how a site disintegrates when the admin isn't active.
That's when a good deal of the artists disappeared (they didn't know the reason I went inactive) including the (very good) female ones.

Sorry to hear about your mother, Tony. I did see the young ladies profiles in the artist profile section that I found after I posted that question. It's amazing how many talented young people there are. I enjoyed going through that profile section. Great idea to have a section like that.

One of the ideas behind CG Arts is that anyone who wants a go at making artwork can have a go, as it is free, folk are usually more than happy with first attempts etc.
And there is no law saying that once an artist has done a request that another artist can't 'have a go'. It is all practice, and it all helps people progress.
I've known some people do art requests that were fairly simple, when other artists have done quite complicated stuff and the requester ended up liking the simple one best. So it's all good.
In that respect, we are all artists, 1 post or a 1,000 posts. Hence the artist chat is for all

Nice, I like that. I saw one thread, don't remember where it is, but it was almost a battle of the artists. It was cool how different artists made different and equally amazing things. What fun!

P.S. I am more of the simple, straightforward type, although I can definitely appreciate the more complicated designs.
