All of this is totally new to me, im not even sure of the basics yet but im determined to learn somehow.
I found this site through my freeforum, i wasnt sure if i already needed to have some knowledge and/or fancy software but here i am anyway.

You don't need anything. If you want to make some arty stuff, we can point you in the direction of some lovely free programs. If you want something made, we can do that too Wink

I've been having a good look around here it seems very friendly and informative..even if i dont understand much of the technical stuff Embarassed

i downloaded anim8or after seeing it recommended here but windows couldnt open it and each time i tried everything froze.
Think thats a problem with my laptop though.

I did make a very poor first attempt at a banner online (with image shack) just playing around , i wondered if maybe someone could help me make something of it but it doesnt look worth the effort lol

If you want free image making software, I think the best would have to be GIMP

I haven't used anim8or for a few years but try looking at the minimum specs needed and see if your comp is up to it. Also try updating your 3d driver software.

GIMP is my new toy even though i dont know what im doing! i need to read the help manual first lol

I've never used Gimp so I can't be much help for it myself, though I think there are some tutorials for it in the tuts section.

If you find a tut that you found really helpful by all means post it up there
