Beijing investigates spam attack
About bloody time a government started fighting the spamming buggers. When I get spam phone calls, I say 'just one moment' then put the phone on the side and carry on doing what I was doing...checking every now and then to see if they are still there. When I get spammy post, I always send back the (empty) reply envelopes so at least they are paying the postage. Tis my goal to make it more expensive to use this invasive form of drumming up business than they actually get out of it. If everybody did what I do, they would stop immediately. Nothing I can do about the emails though.... I think ISP's should start charging for emails sent. I think the charge should be 0.01 of a penny, so that ordinary people are rarely actually charged, but these buggers spamming millions of emails a day would soon go out of business
