Right, this is quite a big thing around here. My uni, University of Twente, just got a new logo designed. It's said that this costed about 4.2 million euro's, this probably included designing, research, production, implementation etc. That's a whole lotta money if you see how it turned out.
On top the old logo, on the bottom the new logo.
Not that the old logo was very good, but the new logo just beats everything. It's all about that tiny little dot at the end...can you see it? I don't know exactly what the idea behind the dot is but it's just bollocks if you ask me. Especially considering it costed 4.2 million euro's. Not only that, but also a lot of students are mad because they hired a professional design team while they could've just asked a couple of the finest students to come up with something, there's hunderds of students doing a design study (like me) and I reckon it would've been a very good exercise for some of them. And I'm sure it would've turned out much better.
