Are they custom tree models you made yourself or are they included with the game. If the latter, they should show up fine, but I have heard of this problem before though I can't remember the solution.
Try putting the following keys and values in the tree model entities:

_cs 1
_rs 1

or

_castshadow(s) 1
_receiveshadow(s) 1

Can't remember exactly, I haven't mapped in ages.
If it doesn't work you might be better off asking it on Map-Craft since SD is still down.

[EDIT]Does the console give you any errors?[/EDIT]

First of all, I wouldn't recommend taking models from another game, some thing like copyright exists :S , even though RTCW is from the same developer.

Second, you really should check console if there's any errors, you're probably missing some texture somewhere or it's because the model isn't in the right folder. But please check console, and post the errors here. If you aren't exactly sure what errors you have to post, do the following:
Open your map the normal way (/devmap n stuff).
Open console after the map has loaded.
Type: /condump error.txt
Now there should be a file called error.txt inside your etmain or etpro or whatever folder, depends on what mod you have installed.
Post everything that's inside the txt here or send me a pm with it if it's very long.

I'm thinking your haven't copied all of the texture or you put the model and/or textures in a wrong folder, they have to be in the same folder as they were in RTCW, for example: models/mapobjects/trees

Wow that fast thanks.

It's weird, there's a shitload of errors, but none of them are related to the tree models. I have found the models you're talking about in my RTCW and I've opened them in notepad and I found that it's probably using the texture 'models/mapobjects/tree/trunck2al.tga', but I've got a hard time finding this texture.
What if you try this. Make a new texture, just a plane white one or something and save it as that file above: trunck2al.tga and put it in 'models/mapobjects/tree, see if it turns out white in game. If it doesn't work, I don't know, you're probably better off asking it on map-craft.com.
