I play the sitar (as you can probably tell from my screen name) and was wondering if someone could design a T-shirt that displays a sitar.  If a t-shirt is too costly or anything, could someone perhaps design a neat printable sitar stencil that I could put on a t-shirt myself?

The specifications are completely changeable.  I'd like to see the different designs that come up.  The sitar picture could be a small little graphic in the chest area of the shirt (like a Polo shirt) or it could be a big graphic like a vintage rock tee.
As for colours, I really like earth tones, partly because they're just my style and partly because they'd go with the browns of a sitar.
Text is optional. If I were to have text, I'd want something simple like "SITAR" or "SITARIST" or something along those lines.  Nothing really cliche like "REAL MEN PLAY SITAR" or anything like that.
Theme is of course, the sitar.
No specific pictures.  Just something recognizable as a sitar.

Do you have your printer lined up?  Is it one of those websites that does them, or a printer local to you?

Point us to their site, then we can see what their requirements are, for dpi, size etc

It may be easier for you guys to just make a stencil design that I could print on some card to make the shirt myself, instead of giving you a printer and its specifications.

Yeah, that one looks pretty cool.
Can you make one of just a sitar though?

I know it's rubbish but it was my first crack at a T-Shirt design
