Hi, i was wondering if it was possible for u guys to make me two or three background battleships.

the ships dont have to be detail at all, it is supposed to like, 2000m away in my ET map.

i was thinking about DKM Admiral Scheer Heavy Cruiser, DKM Kormoran HSK-8 1939 (Merchant) and DKM Prinz Eugen.

i know those could be made 2D background pictures, but i allso want to use them as small models to have in an office or something like that,
i have no idea about the polycount, but i know it dont have to be a high count. ill upload blueprints av the ships Razz

it needs to be .md3 (for enemy territory)

At that distance I am assuming you want ultra low poly, anything too high would slow the map down for lower end machines, like all the extra polys used on the radar map for example.

I can have a look at it over the weekend for you, I think the best bet is to minimise the amount of polys used on this one so just the general shape of it comes through, yes?

Turns out I can't save as .md3

Do you have Milkshape?  Or some other application that can convert such as .obj or .3ds as an .md3 ?

Try this Bravo Clicky. Not sure what version of max you're using and if those exporters work though.

You can import those filetypes in Radiant alright, but AFAIK it won't work in ET. .md3 and I believe .ase too are the only filetypes supported by ET.
You can try though, it's been so long since I've done anything with ET and mapping, I could easily be wrong.
